Material

Made from high-quality glass fibre composite which is also used in boats. It is very strong, weatherproof and low-maintenance.

Natural heat circulation

The Dutchtub is a wood-burning hot tub. The fire created inside the coil warms the water flowing through it. Natural circulation creates a constant flow of warm water.

Cover included

Comes with a special cover that helps to warm up the water faster and keep the tub clean after use.

Comfort without a seat

The ergonomic bottom ensures comfort while seated in the tub. There’s enough space in the tub for four people to bathe in the Dutchtub without the tub taking up a lot of space.

FILLING THE DUTCHTUB

The Dutchtub is easily filled via the turbo valve by connecting it to a garden hose. A full tub contains about 650 litres of water.

LIGHTING THE FIRE

Inside the coil is a heating basket, this is where an open fire is created as a heating source for the water. During warm days it may be unnecessary to light the fire and the Dutchtub can then be used as a cold, refreshing bath.

HEATING THE WATER EFFICIENTLY

The Dutchtub is heated by natural circulation of the water. Water at the bottom of the tub will be sucked into the coil where it will be heated by the fire. The warm water will rise and flow out of the coil at the top of the tub. The water needs to be stirred every now and then for the warm water to be evenly distributed throughout the tub. Depending on the circumstances it takes about 2 hours for the water to reach a temperature of 38 degrees.

MAINTAINING THE TEMPERATURE

The double wall of the tub ensures a warm bath with as little effort and wood as possible. To keep the temperature of the water at 38 degrees, extra wood is needed. With one bag of wood, the water can stay at this temperature for about 4 more hours.

COOLING DOWN THE WATER

To cool down the water, no extra wood should be added to the fire in the basket. Another way to cool down the Dutchtub is by twisting the heating basket up the coil, so the fire heats less turns in the spiral.

COOKING IN THE DUTCHTUB

The fire of the Dutchtub is multifunctional: it can be used to prepare food as well. With the included wok pan all kinds of meals can be prepared on the fire. Food and drinks can be served at the tub on the integrated serving plateau with bottle holder
