It is time for a vegetarian side dish! Serve this salty halloumi dish together with some flatbread and other dips. Perfect as a starter to your dinner or to enjoy as a snack with some drinks.
- 225 grams Halloumi
- 2 flatbreads
- 20 pitted dates
- 4 tbsp za’atar spice mix
- Olive oil
- Optional: coriander

Step 1: Light a fire in the Outdooroven and let the oven reach a temperature of around 200 degrees. This will take around 15 minutes.
Step 2: Slice the halloumi in pieces of about 1 centimeter in thickness. Rip up the flatbread and divide over the Oven Dish together with the cheese. Pour over a large dash of olive oil and mix together.
Step 3: Divide the dates on top and cover with the za’atar spice mix. Optional: add some coriander over the dish.
Step 4: Place the Oven Dish inside the oven for about 15 minutes. The cheese should be golden brown and the dates should caramelize.
Step 5: Enjoy your halloumi with dates! Be careful when biting into the dates, as they can remain hot for a long period of time.
